This man came to an astounding conclusion about life that we have seen (On Earth). Maybe not why it happens but that it indeed does happen. He wrote about the termite. Simple Science, just observing the termite colonies and drawing conclusions from those detailed observations.
He describes how different termites form different functions of what could be considered a whole creature. Some termites form the weapons, claws , or because they were red and white in color could be considered blood cells! Some are the brains (the Queen). Even something similar to the reproductive system where termites leave the nests to form new nests like sperm and an egg.
